The Applied Epi Community
What is the Applied Epi Community?
The Applied Epi Community is your free, online hub for connecting with a global network of peers in applied epidemiology and public health. It’s the perfect space to:
- Share ideas and tools

- Seek advice on R code, epidemiological methods, and more

- Discuss trending topics in public health
How the Commmunity works
- How do I post an R code question? The Community is a welcoming place for beginners and experts alike. Check out our guidance and start posting questions about R code, epidemiological methods, mathematical modelling, genomic epidemiology, or even development directions for open-source tools. Share opportunities and resources too!
- Do I need to create an account to participate? You can browse posts and responses without an account, but you’ll need to sign up to join the discussion.
- Who manages the Community? The Applied Epi team moderates activity, but we rely on members like you to help keep the space supportive and collaborative.
- What if my question isn’t answered? For additional assistance, consider our R Support Desk, where you can escalate questions to our experts for a fee or buy Code Review hours for ongoing support. Contact us at contact@appliedepi.org to learn more!
